HOUSE RULES
Before booking, the Guest has read, understood and accepted the policy.
Dear Guests
Please read the following house rules carefully. Observing them is in everyone’s best interest to ensure a peaceful and pleasant stay.
1. Arrival and Departure
According to applicable legislation, from September 1, 2021, all accommodation providers in Hungary are required to record the legally defined personal data of all guests via a document scanner in the accommodation management system and transmit it to a central database, the Closed Guest Information System (VIZA).
Upon arrival, all guests are required to present the necessary personal documents (passport or ID card, and address card if applicable) for registration, and to pay any outstanding amount on-site.
Guests may only occupy the apartment after full payment of the total accommodation fee.
CHECK-IN: from 14:00 on the day of arrival
CHECK-OUT: please vacate the accommodation by 10:00 on the day of departure
Late check-out or early check-in requires prior arrangement and may be subject to an additional fee.
At the agreed arrival/departure time, the owner and/or their representative will be present if requested.
2. Quiet / Family Area Regulation
Parties and loud gatherings are strictly PROHIBITED!
Please respect the peace of the neighbors between 22:00 and 07:00 and avoid any noise during this time. We also kindly ask you to keep noise to a minimum when arriving late at night or early in the morning.
3. Smoking
Smoking inside the house is prohibited, including e-cigarettes, VAPE, and IQOS. Ashtrays are provided at the parking area, terraces, and in the yard – please dispose of cigarette butts there.
The house is equipped with smoke detectors that also react to cigarette smoke.
In case of indoor smoking, a penalty of 150,000 HUF will be charged.
4. Cleanliness and Order
Please take care of the furnishings and use all equipment properly. It is not allowed to remove any furniture or equipment from the house.
The apartment has a well-equipped kitchen where simple meals can be prepared.
Please do not place metal objects in the microwave.
In case of any damage, the resulting costs must be paid by the guest on-site.
As in any household, it may happen that something breaks or malfunctions without the guest’s fault. To avoid further damage, please inform us.
The apartment is handed over clean and tidy.
Cleaning is provided once per week, including bed linen and towel change (for stays longer than one week).
After using the cauldron or grill, please leave them clean and extinguish embers with water.
Firewood is available upon request. Warning: fire hazard!
Please dispose of waste in the designated bins.
It is FORBIDDEN to place or hang anything in front of or on the infrared heating panels.
5. Pets
Pets are not allowed on the property.
6. Liability
Guests are responsible for their valuables and personal belongings. A safe is available; however, we do not accept liability for valuables left in the guesthouse or in the safe.
The host is not liable for damages or accidents resulting from improper use. Guests are responsible for their own behavior and that of their visitors within the house and its surroundings. They bear full responsibility for any accidents involving themselves or their guests.
Use of the playground and garden is at your own risk.
In case of an accident, a small first aid kit can be found under the bathroom sink.
7. Security
There are 6 cameras operating on the property:
1 at the entrance gate, 1 above the parking area, 1 at the bicycle storage, and 3 at the pedestrian entrance / guesthouse entrance / backyard.
These cameras record and store footage to ensure the personal safety and protection of property of our guests.
Video surveillance is indicated by warning signs. The purpose is property protection, including safeguarding valuable equipment and guests’ belongings.
The legal basis for data processing is the voluntary consent of guests. By entering the Szivike Guesthouse premises, consent is considered given.
The camera system operates on a closed network with motion detection and time-controlled settings. Recordings are stored for 48 hours. Further information about data processing can be requested upon arrival.
8. Other Rules
Any illegal activity is strictly prohibited on the property.
It is forbidden to bring any flammable materials or devices into the accommodation.
In case of fire, immediately begin extinguishing using the fire extinguisher located on-site and call the fire department at 105, then notify the host.
When leaving the apartment, always turn off water and electricity, close the windows, fold the umbrella, and take out the trash.
Only registered guests may stay on the property. Please inform us in advance about any visitors.
The total booking fee refers to the number of days reserved in advance. In case of early departure, we are unable to provide a refund.
We reserve the right to select our guests. Guests who behave inappropriately or violate house rules may be refused or asked to leave immediately. In such cases, no refund will be provided for unused days.
Our apartment is self-catering; meals are not provided.
Upon arrival, the following are provided and included in the booking:
toilet paper, liquid soap, shampoo, dishwashing liquid, sponge, kitchen towel, dishwasher tablets, basic spices, Nespresso coffee machine with 4 capsules, tea, hairdryer, iron, bed linen, towels, bathroom hand towel, cosmetic and shoe care items, umbrella, children’s toys, outdoor drying rack.
During the stay, guests are responsible for replenishing their own supplies.
9. Hot Tub Usage
The hot tub at Szivike Guesthouse is a facility registered with the public health authority and operated in accordance with applicable regulations. During operation, we maintain a logbook and regularly check and document necessary parameters to ensure continuous water quality (e.g. pH and chlorine levels).
For the safety of our guests and compliance with hygiene regulations, we reserve the right to check water quality during use.
The hot tub may be used without time or seasonal restrictions, but please follow the usage rules.
Bathrobes and slippers required for bathing are provided.

Children may only use the hot tub under parental supervision. Parents assume full and exclusive responsibility for any damage or accidents.
10. Emergencies
In case of emergency, please notify the appropriate authorities (ambulance, fire department, police) and inform us.
